Statement

In a society so driven towards the future, we can oftentimes forget our relationship with the past. I find my heart and soul most beckoned by history, and its relationship with time, progress, and people.

Garments carry the imprints of those who wore them, the hands that made them, and the cultural moments that shaped them. My work comes from that pull- I keep returning to what’s already been made, worn, lived in, and used, while trying to understand what still lingers there.

At its core, my work is about staying connected to history, to craft, and to the people behind both. I want the pieces I make to feel grounded but not stuck, familiar but not fixed. For me, it’s about holding onto the past while still allowing it to shift and take on new meaning in the present without forgetting the roots. In doing so, I invite viewers to reconsider their own relationship with history, not as something distant or static, but as something intimately woven into the fabric of today.
